Food, food and more food

For this climb, we have been told to bring 20lbs of personal food which includes 22 lunches and snacks to eat all day long.  That equates to 32,000 calories.  This is in addition to breakfasts and dinners which we will group carry and cook at camp.

I put together a detailed food spreadsheet which calculates weight, calories per weight, serving sizes and meal plans.  This includes 12 bagels and 10 flour tortillas, 34 bars, trail mix, nuts, cookies, meat sticks, PB&J, tuna, salmon and  Spam plus assorted goodies.  I will pick up salami, turkey and cheese when I get to Alaska.  Bon appetite!
